This week I'm joined by James Murphy of Pex Lives to discuss Under the Lake and, in typical Eruditorum Press style, a myriad of other topics, some of which actually have an obvious relationship to Under the Lake. Perversely, we manage to go on half an hour longer than Jane and I did about an actually good story. I have no explanation. You can get it here, in any case.

Am I the only (mostly reformed) Moffatt-h8r who believes his far more unhinged writing as showrunner is infinitely more interesting than his RTD era "masterpiece" Blink?

Also, in the rating system, 4 is going to be a very fractured one, maybe a 4-4.5 scale there?

Ha. I should have said this one was a four, but I wasn't sure if it was Hinchcliffe or Williams.

Between those two eras, I can think of very few stories that approach the level of utter dullness we get here.
Link | ReplyI LOVE a leisurely pace, I love watching characters interact gently, I love a slowly unfolding plot. But this thing actually felt like it was happening in slow motion. This Capaldi PArt 1 was more tedious than a Hartnell Part 3
