Elizabeth Sandifer

Elizabeth Sandifer created Eruditorum Press. She’s not really sure why she did that, and she apologizes for the inconvenience. She currently writes Last War in Albion, a history of the magical war between Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. She used to write TARDIS Eruditorum, a history of Britain told through the lens of a ropey sci-fi series. She also wrote Neoreaction a Basilisk, writes comics these days, and has ADHD so will probably just randomly write some other shit sooner or later. Support Elizabeth on Patreon.

Fascinating stuff as always. The art for the “Arthur Montgomery” Zenith story looks like that of Simon Coleby to me.

Grant has message for you. “From your hypercube constructed of enfolded Eternity, you made Dave Gibbons make the chicken have four legs.”

A lot to takeaway from this chapter, but I’ll give two small points that jumped out to me:
It really sucks to learn that the co-writer of Fury Road is a jerk.

And, maybe because I don’t know much about him beyond All-Star Superman, but photos of Grant Morrison with hair always surprise me. What’s next, a clean-shaven Alan Moore?

I met him at Graphic Festival at the Sydney Opera House… not the one where Grant appeared, the one where they screened an Alan Moore documentary late at night. He was fascinating, and I wonder if his claims about Grant stealing his work are true (I should have asked him)

Loved this as ever El. Great to see Morrison fully entering the stage now. Having been a reader of 2000AD until maybe about 1990, I would say that for me definitely, that Zenith I think was one of the best things produced by them, it stands head and shoulders above so much else in the comic.

“…and an extremely early work of Warren Ellis’s from long before he was famous enough to get away with sexually abusing dozens of women…”

Good (but not good of course) to see Ellis getting a mention. Wondering how the current situation will affect coverage of him.

As El mentioned on Twitter, there’s going to be a shift away from the five protagonist structure. Now only Moore and Morrison are going to get the ‘all or nearly all works’ treatment, and there’s going to be numerous side characters (including, I presume, the three erstwhile protagonists, but also others) who are going to be treated more selectively.
