I'm relieved somewhat to realise that I'm not the only one who is now actively loathing Dr. Who.

Such a shame, so much potential yet there's nothing of any value anymore.

You said it JohnB, During Season 6, I was only on Gallifreybase and I thought I might be going mad….or getting old.
Couldn't people see how cynical and ambitionless the show had become? Thank goodness for people like Jack Graham.

I dislike it too, but not as strongly as you do.

The problem is, the show was good. Good (art for art's sake) —> famous (loads of people watch because it's good) —> franchise (i.e. the producers desperately try to cash in and get as many bums on seats as possible) —> rubbish (show is a soulless simulacrum of what once made it good).
