Elizabeth Sandifer created Eruditorum Press. She’s not really sure why she did that, and she apologizes for the inconvenience. She currently writes Last War in Albion, a history of the magical war between Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. She used to write TARDIS Eruditorum, a history of Britain told through the lens of a ropey sci-fi series. She also wrote Neoreaction a Basilisk, writes comics these days, and has ADHD so will probably just randomly write some other shit sooner or later. Support Elizabeth on Patreon.

Nice to see someone else comment on the difficulties of being someone who can’t quite enjoy the properly avant garde as much as they want to.

I will say, seeing Lexi do Prayer Rope live was quite enjoyable.

I’d no idea Adventures with the Wife in Space was such a big deal for the growth of the Eruditorum! It makes me even more glad I pointed Sue and Neil in your direction (specifically, the DMP essay). I mean, somebody else would have eventually, but let me just bask in some reflected glory for a moment…

Regarding social media, I’m an old fart who thinks forums are too modern, quickly gave up on Facebook after realising what a time sink it was, and never went on Twitter. I am often tempted by Tumblr, though – at least in my daughter’s neighbourhood it seems to have a healthier community attitude, and I do enjoy their efforts to keep the mainstream out.

I don’t watch many films, but can find fun in mindless popcorn movies and the slightly weird. I think the last two I watched were Thor Love & Thunder (disappointing, my least favourite film directed by Taika Waititi) and Imaginaerum (which reminded me of Mirrormask and has made me cry more than once).

It strikes me as worth remembering that people who are some variation of this—decidedly not Terminally Online—are largely a majority. Certainly it’s the experiment here.

Thanks for the plug, though. 🙂
