This week I’m joined by Gene Mays of the superlative Being and Time Lord to talk about The Zygon Inversion. We manage a record speed of getting completely off topic, and end up talking about Heidegger a bunch, so basically, business as usual. Currently coming up to the end of the podcast, an as always interesting to listen to.
One thing that to point out is that Harness makes sure Kate isn’t a victim of the Doctor and the mind wipe. Earlier in the episode when they’re in the Zygon underground base, the Doctor tells Kate how she knows all about the Osgood boxes and then voluntarily wiped her mind to make them work better. So Kate attains enlightenment and then willingly denies herself that so she can help others attain the same enlightenment.
It really is a great story.
